Pet and Animal Portraits (oil on canvas), Art (Dog sculptures) using the lost wax bronze process. As of 2004 I no longer offer resin sculptures.
I pride my self in producing fine detailed sculptures, canine art, dog plaques, figurines, bookends, clocks & urns, dog trophies, custom canine sculptures; limited editon bronze of exquisite detail, realism and accuracy.
Current available breeds: English
Bulldog, French Bulldog; Irish Wolfhound (resin items are now being produced in bronze)
The difference beween cold-cast bronze and lost-wax bronze. Due to the demand from our clients bronze dog sculptures will be one of my main focuses. Over the years, I shied away from producing bronze canine sculptures because of the cost. However, we are discovering that our clients are willing to pay for a quality bronze sculpture. Bronze sculptures tend to run about 4 - 7 times the cost of a resin sculpture. Bronze dog sculptures take about three months to produce; therefore, we advise clients to plan when ordering.
For custom dog sculptures, plan on 4 - 6 months on average. The design and sculpting of the subject takes the majority of the time. Clients are encouraged to participate in the early design and sculpting stages. The client is kept in the loop through images sent via the internet for approval.
Creating bronze canine sculptures has always been a goal. As of 2003 I now sculpt full-time. The goal is to introduce more AKC standard breeds.
My mission is to create exquisite canine fine art for personal collections, impressive executive gifts, clubs and corporate presentations.
I also create custom pet portraits using oil on canvas or graphite pencil on illustration paper.
Custom relief carvings are quite popular; however, I currently do not produce woodcarvings due to the amont of labor involved.
My artistic vision reflects my reverence and appreciation for detail. I am an avid animal lover. I strive to capture the essence of each breed-species with fine detail, realism and emotion.
I have always had a passion for the arts.
I enjoy working with my clients to create stunning works of art for their specific needs and interests. I strive to produce works that are functional, dramatic and everlasting.

The original English Bulldog head-study was sculpted in wax or clay and underwent several steps before the final bronze sculpture was created. The artist's second website, HandsofCaesar.com will deal exclusively with bronze.

Oil on Canvas Painting (20"x30")

Concept for the Rhodesian Ridgeback and Lion bronze statue will be taken from the oil-on-canvas (left). The image on the right depicts the Rhodesian Ridgeback in its show pose. Once the clay sculpture is approved, I will begin on the action poses, similar to what is depicted on the painting.
Work in progress for the Bronze - Rhodesian Ridgeback and Lion scene can be viewed at www.handsofcaesar.com
